I'd like to find a restaurant that's either off the Blue line or Yellow line (getting on in Pentagon City) that meets the following criteria:

1.  Low to mid level price range
2.  Low key
3.  American menu / lighter fare
4.  Nice view (it may be too hot to sit outdoors this evening)

Can anyone make any suggestions?

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it!!!

Happy pre-Fourth of July, everyone!

Hey Michelle. All I can think of is Matchbox, which you've already been to, I see...

Hmm...I'm not too familiar w/places along the blue/yellow lines. Anyone else?

It was the American menu that sort of stumped me, Michele.  I thought of Lebanese Taverna in Pentagon City or Bonsai in Crystal City, if you were set on American cuisine.  The reviews for the Skydome are promising.  http://www.yelp.com/bi...

It might be a tad expensive, but there's a few nice date style restaurants on King st.  it's not quite American, but I've heard good things about both Cafe Salsa and Vermillion.

Stef:  It's funny that I work around the corner from the Skydome and never knew that's what the name of it was.  I just thought of it as the Doubletree's restaurant.

Justin:  Thanks for the recommendations.  Cafe Salsa got a rave review from Laura, and that says alot!

Thanks for the responses; I really appreciate 'em.

What about that sports bar that's right on 23rd Street in Crystal City?  I don't know the name, but it always looked kind of nice from the outside.  Freddie's is right there, and I think they tend to have a nice view... if ya know what I mean.  :p

Hmmm, Skydome sounds interesting otherwise I'm thinking King St. in Old Town: Hank's Oyster Bar, Majestic

Uh - the Majestic isn't exactly cheap - especially for dinner.  But it's darn delicious!

Oh really?  Never been there - according to the Yelp reviews it's rated as $$ (moderate).
