For a limited time, Space Needle annual passes are only $29.99 (regular price $119!) and I had heard that you get 4 guest passes even! Might have to check that out though, I couldn't find that info. Still seems like a fantastic deal considering how much they charge nowadays to go up there! http://store.spaceneed.../
From the website:
A Space Needle Annual Pass makes you eligible for a number of discounts and privileges throughout the building. Privileges for this pass include:
- Free admission for the person named on the pass during regular operating hours for 365 days (excluding special events, July 4th, December 31st, etc.)
- Allows one guest per visit
- For a limited time, receive a complimentary glass of wine for both you and your guest on your first trip up. (coupon for complimentary drinks is presented when your pass is picked up at ticket booth)
- 20% discount on retail merchandise
- Up to six additional guest tickets may be purchased at the group rate discount price
- Free dessert at SkyCity with meal purchase
- Email updates and invitations to events, trunk shows, Celebration Club activities, etc.
- Annual Pass holders may use the group sales/will call window at the ticket booth to reduce waiting
Rules:
- Annual Passes are non-transferable and non-refundable
- Not for commercial use
- Pass Holder must present pass at elevator boarding and accompany all guests during their visit (complimentary gift passes may be used without Pass Holder attendance)

I got that special in email too. You can take one guest with you every time you go. And it doesn't have to be the same person. Go 4 times a year and you made out like a bandit.

Thanks for the tip. That's such a good deal.
The needle is the Eiffel Tower of Seattle. For me, it never gets old.

What are the complimentary gift passes? Like, can I get guest passes to give away so my friend and her boyfriend can go at the same time without me?

I bought one and I'm going to go pick it up tomorrow. I'll let you know what the guest passes and all of that stuff entails. It sounds like it'll pay for itself on one trip up. What a great deal. Thanks for pointing it out. We always have friends come through during the summer that want to go but we never want to pay $16 per visit. Now, I'll probably go up every time I'm down at the Center.

This LJ says you get 4 free guest passes (which you can give to other people):
http://community.livej...
But the space needle site itself doesn't mention them. You can, however, go up as many times as you want for free, and bring a guest with you each time. I grabbed one, it'll pay for itself (even with coupons, it's only $2 more) in one trip up with the gf.
Additionally, you get 20% off merch, and $2 off extra passes. Pretty sweet deal!

Oh also I should mention that I called the Space Needle people and talked to a lady there to confirm that it was indeed one free guest each trip, and not just a one-time free guest pass, and she assured me that it was.

Thanks Joel "isn't really a communist" B. for making that crystal clear. That's really a great deal and a must whether a tourist or native.
Will "object-oriented" A. Get up there already!
