Hi,

I am looking for a good female doctor in the san jose area.  I have tried a couple of doctors at random, but no luck.   Any recommendations/suggestions?

I also have a problem with my left breast and was considering having that taken a look at.  Any recommendations on that?  Is there a certain type of doctor that deals with the breast area?  Would that be a gynecologist?

Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Kim,

Check out my list of doctors:

http://www.yelp.com/li...

As a Vietnamese, female dentist I try to support the Vietanmese female doctors.  I believe we get a bed rap!  So try the ones I have found:

Dr. Jaqueline Nguyen at McCarthy Ranch Medical Center
Dr. Kirby Nguyen in Mountain View (OBGYN)

I think you want to start with your OB to look at your breast and she can make the right referral if needed.

Good Luck!

Don't go to Dr. Kirby Tran!  She is fine as a doctor but the office is horrible and staff are sketchy.  I have heard that Dr. Sutherland is a very good doctor (I don't go to her because I now live in Oakland) but you should check her out.

Give Dr. Joy Nishime a try.  She is very knowledgeable and her office staff is great.   There is plenty of free parking and the office is very clean.(brand new)

Dr. Joy Nishime

For your breast- I would recommend a gynecologist and she can either order a mammogram or ultra sound if necessary.

I know from experience (had two lumps removed a year ago). Initially, I saw a general practice doc...and she was not knowledeable and slowed down the process to properly test me.

Sorry- I am in Livermore and can't recommend a doc in San Jose.

Best wishes to you, Kim.

I wouldn't watnt to recommend cuz as it is she has way to many patients and so, she runs late almost always, but Dr. Cynthia Cummings at San Jose Good Samaritan is the best Doc we have had after trying so many.

We've been seeing her for [ast 4 years now.

I  had the most amazing female doc in all of San Jose at Good Samaritan .....Please contact Dr Ramseur.  He delivered my daughter under less than great circumstances...I love this man.

I recommend Dr. Ling Chen at Good Samaritan.  She's very thorough and knowledgable as well as friendly.

I have had some complicated breast issues and my dr, doctor Tate is wonderful.  My review of her is on her yelp page here:

Someone gave her one star because of the front desk, but I have to say that I have had nothing but great experiences.  I am trusting her to do my hysterectomy next month.  I also recommend the Breast Care Center if you need anything like a mammogram done.
