Mister J. says:
Meh.
It's all the previously seen trailers (minus the sewer scene) strung together in a linear timeline. Nothing new.
The shaky cam means I'll be watching this thing on cable tv.

What, is it some giant cow? The movie's name makes me think of cartons of milk.

i hope the whole movie is not in this cinema verite style - that would be just plain annoying. i kinda like the way these horribly hip and attractive 20-somethings get eaten and stomped on... "I'm like, dude, like, it's alive!"

Omid "The Rock, Skipper, Urban Zen Master" T. says:
a) I can't believe they'd make something like this so soon after 9/11. It's so insensitive! Think of the poor firefighters!
b) That camcorder has *amazing* low-light functionality, and I want one.

The film is not in cinema verite. I'm pretty sure that clip isn't in the movie. It's probably an attempt at creating some Blair Witch hype.

Actually I meant to say...I don't THINK the film is done with a handheld.
I'm more thrilled with the viral marketing being done around the film than I am with the film itself. And I usually hate using marketing and film in the same sentence.

Omid,
actually i read that this movie was a "response" to 9/11 fear and our overly PC kid-glove handling of 9/11 issues. i think (and speaking as a NYer) that there isn't enough 9/11 material being explored by mainstream popular culture.

oh i was thinking you were being dry... it's hard to gauge sarcasm online - but i should have figured it out it being you! :))
i would love to see an HBO mini-series about 9/11 victims, families, politicos, and first responders. i feel we really haven't gotten past the "flag waving" and "sympathetic back-rubbing" with 9/11. Frankly i am so surprised that so little has been done.

Dave "Designer of Zombie Dance Party" M. says:
If this movie is at all, in the slightest in reference to the BS that was our modern Alamo, I'm all over seeing it.
As it is, I'm a sucker for big monster movies anyway, I even saw the Host.... craptastic.
