Mary ann - those of us who find it tasteless do so because it's mixing a title that is sexual innuendo - and specific to women, at that ("put the fun between your legs" implying "insert cock here," Nicole even takes note of the double entendre in her OP) and then immediately tying it in to women against rape.  

I'm not going to throw some fit about it, but yeah, Yelp HQ - victims of sexual assault would have reason to be offended by that.  I don't see how that supports SF Women Against Rape.  If anything it seems to mock it.

I also was surprised by the title, and maybe it was over the top for Yelp...but how does a title implying sexual adventure have anything to do with sexual assault. Sex does not equal violence toward women and every sexual innuendo isn't harassment.  To mis-quote Freud, sometimes sex is just sex.

A random sampling of profiles of complainers shows some pretty bitter behavior across the board, not just in replies to this email.  s/funny/sad/g

FWIW I was inspired to take a nice bike ride today because of this email. Then I gave it a 5 star review.

Although my last post is my opinion, I do acknowledge that people may be offended and very upset by the email.

However, do something productive. Tell yelp what you want them to do to make it better. Don't just say it sucks.

Just because you decided to retire your bike on the east coast due to the hills here (?!) - that has no impact or bearing on the reality of biking in the City.  Look out your window sometime, we're all over out there.

I wouldn't recommend buying from here necessarily; small shops tend to be really expensive. Go here for maintenance I guess.

They were pretty generous in that they let me ride one of their bikes way up the hill on a test ride in exchange for my driver's license.
