If I have to hear his irritating "motivational speaker" voice for the next four years I'm gonna puke...

Oh and I'm afraid the media obama-zombies have put in place a Clinton-smear campaign unrivaled by anything the Reps could cook up... great!  Let's hear it for the so-called liberal media!  wooo hoo!

But anyway, if you can stop drooling long enough to read these recent endorsements from Ohio, Texas, and Rhode Island papers, you'll see that it aint just a big obama-love-fest out there.

http://www.ohio.com/ed...

http://media.www.daily...

http://www.projo.com/o...

Even Frank Rich (who's had an embarrassing hard-on for Obama for way too long) has said:

"(Clinton) was unfairly undone by a lightweight showboat who got a free ride from an often misogynist press and from nave young people who lap up messianic language as if it were Jim Jones's Kool-Aid. Or as Mrs. Clinton frames it, Senator Obama is all about empty words while she is all about action and hard work."

To be fair, he goes on to once again stroke his member for obama and bash Clinton...

Ahhh, political debate... Responses?

I thought SNL was hilarious in their skewering of the media lovefest for Obama. Jim, you should also google the Tina Fey Weekend Update segment about how bitches get things done.

I clearly have been an ardent supporter of Clinton. I was an early sufferer of Obama-fatigue, and that has not dissipated, but spread to both candidates. I don't think Hillary should drop out prior to Texas and Ohio, but her days do seem to be numbered. She does seem desperate and exasperated at this point, but after the way the media has coddled Obama and treated her, it's not a surprise.

Team Clinton: Down, and Out of Touch
By Dana Milbank
Tuesday, February 26, 2008; A02

They are in the last throes, if you will.

As Vice President Cheney knows, such predictions can be perilous. Still, there was no mistaking a certain flailing, a lashing-out, as two Clinton advisers sat down for a bacon-and-eggs session yesterday at the St. Regis Hotel.

The Christian Science Monitor had assembled the minences grises of the Washington press corps -- among them David Broder of The Post, Maureen Dowd of the New York Times and columnist Mark Shields -- for what turned out to be a fascinating tour of an alternate universe.

First came Harold Ickes, who gave a presentation about Hillary Rodham Clinton's prospects that severed all ties with reality. "We're on the way to locking this nomination down," he said of a candidate who appears, if anything, headed in the other direction.

A lot of people, especially the darling young 20 and 30 something hipsters  on the Obama band wagon (not to insult those of you who support him for legitimate, political reasons) are going to lose interest as he becomes the established democratic presidential candidate.  They'll reminisce about the days when they used to watch him when the rallies were only several hundred, and how they like, totally discovered him before anybody else.  They'll further bemoan that he's now a sellout (how can anybody who suddenly becomes massively popular in these people's minds not be titled one?) and they'll talk about how he's lost, if not sold, his soul.  Obama is going to become too cool and too popular for his hipster supporters who know it all, calculate their jadedness in order to maximize their coolness, and exercise any other behavior that will allow them to extend their adolescence as far through their life as possible.  When this epiphany occurs, I imagine sometime in July or August, they'll fall into the open and waiting arms of Nader.   This of course will be hilarious, because the 'were-to-cool for the establishment' attitude that propelled Obama's candidacy and trashed another, very viable, very qualified one, will ultimately undermine Obama in the general election.  Chickens coming home as they say.  Forgive me if I sound like John Kerry, but I support Ralph Nader and John McCain.

Put it this way - I'd like to vote for Obama - in 2012.

"That's not change you can count on, that's change you can xerox."  - I don't see how that's a 'bitchy' statement - that's absolutely my problem with Obama.  Every public figure I can recall from the last few years from other quarters has touted themselves as different from the establishment, all about change......and then nuthin'.
I think you need to have worked the establishment and understand it from the inside out before you can change anything.

I think that she got flack for the Xerox comment because 1) it was awkward and not funny, and 2) because it was in regard to the her accusations of Obama's plagiarism, which for the most part have been discounted.  Again, she was guilty of doing something all politicians do, but because she is a woman it is termed "bitchy" rather than just "dumb".

The irony is that at the end of that debate (when Clinton made those kind remarks about being proud to stand beside Obama and that they'd both be "okay"), her words were nearly *identical*l to the words John Edwards had spoken a few weeks ago.

I suppose I could be more specific.  I will try to get more to the point of my support.  For one thing, I admired her position:  "Clinton Announces Plan to Fight HIV/AIDS at Home and Abroad" written back in November.  She clearly and articulately spells out her approach to this grave issue.  I've worked in the public health field nearly my entire career, mostly in HIV/AIDS.  It is a cause dear to my heart.  So this is an important distinction from obama.

The thing that I like about Obama is that he gives me hope. As an Obama supporter, I've learned that besides being a misogynist, I'm (by definition) almost completely incapable of intelligent thought. This sets the bar very low. So when I'm able to accomplish a simple task like tying my shoes or brushing my teeth without choking myself, I feel a great sense of accomplishment. And that gives me hope.

At one point I was completely okay with either Hillary or Barack (although prefer Hillary) after Edwards had the good sense to get out of the picture.  Not that I wanted him to drop out, I just can't see him mired in the current cesspool.  How can any of them maintain their dignity in this mess?  Can we please get Britney back so the politicians can go back to being boring?

I thought that when he took over from McKinley and finished that term then won his own election he said, "I shall not seek another term". (Which according to his backers was stupid, because he could have run for a second separate term.) Therefore he set in motion intraparty fratricide to be the next nominee. When he was out of power he then 'tried to get back in' Bull Moose Party (a third party) which turned our to be as successful as most 3rd parties are. Am I right , wrong or somewhere in between?

My prediction: Dems will lose this elections.  Republicans won't win it.  It will be handed to them on a silver platter.  I know the GOP is prepping those lovely smear campaigns as I type this.  Really, they should just save their money, step aside and let the Dems screw up.  I don't agree with essentially all the neo-con stances, particularly on social issues but for the most part, they are good at winning elections and don't shoot each other down in times of crisis.

Instead of arguing in policies, she just argues on why obama is using other people's sentences in his speach.  That just shows petinness.  Argue on politics, what you will do for people, and why you will be better president  (except the I have more "experience" bull crap line), she hasn't shown much.

Hipsters may be cool, but they don't decide elections. Regular-ass people in the middle of America do. And they like Obama.

I think 50% is 90%more than you will get from any of them.

Clinton:  "Could I just point out that, in the last several debates, I seem to get the first question all the time? And I don't mind."

Of course you don't, Hil. That's why you brought it up.  At least it takes Bush entire speeches to contradict himself, not just one line.

Donkey, It's nice to see you've lapped up the media non-news-opinions we;ve been forced fed about Clinton.  gulp gulp.

Clinton is such a policy-wonk and all she does is talk about policies and details and politics.  To her detriment because all the average person listens to is media 'headline grabbers" such as "shame on you Obama" and the whole Kenya-yada yada.

But at this point I'd be happy if people just voted instead of paying more attention to American Idol.  What is the percentage of eligible voters who actually vote?

And, for all you folks who are telling me to give it a break already... why?  Am I interrupting your little obama-pajama-party?  ooops, go ahead and drink up the snotty remarks and sidewards glances you're pretty-boy is making.  In my opinion obama is tired and phony who'll say anything to get votes.  He'll be in the pocket of the Reps in no time.

Omid, btw, I love your new photo, excellent...

By "pocket of the Reps" do you mean he'll be taking kick-backs or actually be working with them to change current policies? Because Hillary's hatred of Republicans will ensure the latter won't happen...nor will it win her the election.
