So I use a drop off laundry place to get my laundry done; they usually do a really good job, but today they happened to ruin 3 good dress shirts of mine, and it's completely obvious they used bleach or really hot water, since the shirts have orange stains on them.
On their ticket, it says they aren't liable for any damages and blah blah blah, but that must be bullshit; aren't their laws saying that places like this are liable if they damage stuff? These are simple cotton shirts too, it's not like they should require dry cleaning or anything outrageous, so I'm guessing that the people working there simply screwed up. They don't seem to speak good english either, so it's going to be a hassle explaining it to them either way.
Help me people; they ruined a good amount of money worth of my clothes and they shouldn't be able to simply say "sorry we aren't liable if we screw up" because that is pretty lame.

They aren't dry cleaners, just some hole in the wall drop off laundry place. I think they are called Polk Valley laundromat or something like that; it's in the terrible area of Polk Streat right off Geary. Near the gay porn store.
Seriously what am I gonna do?

go complain and say you're going to take them to small claims... Have the paper work ready if they don't pay you off what you think the shirts are worth discounting the hassle you figure small claims will be, then file in small claims. I'd think the ticket terms won't stand.

definitely small claims court and complain to BBB (Better Business Bureau) and of course Yelp them!!!

Have you guys ever actually made a complaint to Better Business Bureau? They don't actually do anything.
