Hey Fellow Yelpers - I miss the days of yore, with free food at happy hour - I hear there are some fabled spots that still have some decent specials. Any ideas, and I'm not talking about some crappy peanuts.

Lucky13's on Sunday afternoons (or was it Sat?) has beer specials and a free BBQ. There you'll find a funky but chill crowd, its a steal.

Lion Club on Divisadero and Sacramento has a cheese/appetizer buffet....AND a cozy fire...
NOT recommended on weekends though when it turns into a marina scene nightmare...

Oh I love Lion Pub and Lucky 13, does anyone know if McArthur Park is still doing their happy hour? I'm right near Mission and New Montgomery so it would be cool to have places in the SOMA area to hit after work...

I hear Maya gives a platter of treats during happy hour, and lets not forget the Final Final...FREE FLOWING POPCORN form open to close.  It's unbelievable!

Sarah's got it. Maya's offers the best free appetizers with cheap happy hour drinks.

Maya is my favorite. When is their happy hour? Do they do it daily?

Oh, Jade has one of my favorite happy hours, very inexpensive drinks (but not free food). It can get wall-to-wall but the crowd is relatively cool - and happy - plus the men's bathroom is worth checking out...

SNOB wine bar offers free cheese plates with cheese and crackers and nuts and chocolates, etc. on days they have wine tastings.  Wine tastings for $10  every other Wednesday.  Good times.

Looks sort of incomplete, but intriguing nonetheless.

Oh Jessica, you never cease to amuse!

Dave's Bar on Third Street puts out chips and salsa and other snacks depending on the day

I read that the Big Four bar/restaurant in Nob Hill serves good happy hour snackage but I haven't verified this

Lion's Pub as mentioned above

The Tempest used to put out a full buffet, but maybe just on Fridays?

Other noteable snackage: peanuts in the shell at the Eagle Tavern, Chex Mix at the Owl Tree, and excellent high-end snacks at the Four Seasons and Ame/St. Regis Lobby Bar

Go forth, and munch.

I was playing pinball today at the Bus Stop during happy hour waiting for my Marina friends.  The cocktail waitress took my order, which I gave over my shoulder.  Between balls I left money on the table behind me, including a dcent tip.  "I'm leaving a slice of pizza for you," I heard her say.  And sure enough it was.  That's service.

Molotov's in the Haight had some BBQ pulled pork one time when I was there on a Sunday afternoon.  Funny, because I saw the guy from Rosemunde cooking it when I stopped in for a sausage.

Also, RJ's in the upper 'loin does burgers during football I think.
