Christopher "Mr. Fat Booty" S. says:
I was in a funk for the last couple of hours, but then I saw this Hardball episode where Chris Matthews interviews Kevin James about Bush's "appeasement" comment.
Best line in the interview is when he asks Kevin James "Why are you screaming?"
http://wonkette.com/39...This made me laugh SO much...

Tsada K. says:
Haha. I love this.
Did you know that fake Mark started a thread about this last night?
I said it before and I'll say it again. Chris Matthews is HOT.

John X. says:
Ooof. Hot if you love a fat Irish donkey. But I still love you, Tsada.

George C. says:
some lliberal bloggers seem to have a problem with mathews, calling him "tweety", etc. but I actually like him and find him refreshingly real. he giggles like a schoolgirl at times, but I think he's better than a lot of the pundits you see on the cable news channels.

George C. says:
that should be liberal with only one l of course.

Tsada K. says:
Totally what you said, George.

Gilberto "Shivtastic" Y. says:
best advice: when ur in a hole, quit digging.
he kept on talking under the theory that if he just rambled on, somebody would forget he just got owned. what a jerkoff.

George C. says:
wow, tsada. that guy seems like the type who'd have a white hood hanging in his closet. an old fashioned southern democrat from the days when that was synonymous with asshole. mathews handled that with a lot of restraint.

Doug D. says:

kelly m. says:
Wow! I won't claim to know what Neville Chamberlain did (besides appeasing something), but I'm not a political journalist! What a wanker:)

George C. says:
and now I watched the segment this thread is about and I like mathews even more. that idiot blowhard had no idea what he was talking about and thought he he could cover up his stupidity by yelling. equating diplomacy with appeasement is silly, and such a great example of the sort of disingenuous grandstanding that is rampant in the republican party these days.

kelly m. says:
Sooooo, any idea what Neville Chamberlain did do? What he appeased? My curiosity is piqued...

George C. says:
chamberlin advocated giving in to hitler little by little to avoid starting a war, as I recall.
05/16/2008
George C. says:
sorry, chamberlain. I am a terrible typist.

A "to the power of" J. says:
Chamberlain gave away a piece (then) Chechoslovakia for some peace.
Hence the term, "appeasement", as in "I thought giving away appeasement we could have some peace"...

Mark "More Funkalicious Reviews in the 'Hopper'" A. says:
John & Bobby Kennedy's father was also soft on Hitler.
He had a promising political career.... until his massive mistake ended his prospects. Hence, he used his millions from smuggling booze during Prohibition, to boost the careers of John, Bobby, and Ted Kebnnedy.

DiDi "EE, FF, GG, HH" V. says:
chamberlain was a pussy.
hardball gives me a headache.
political pundits should disappear from the face of the earth--they sound more like hitler than obama ever could with their LOUD inflammatory, sensational rhetoric. they thrive on ignorance, insecurity and hatred. turn off the TV, fellow Americans, just turn it off.
