I am sneezing like a mofo, but I am afraid to take allergy meds because then I will fall asleep on this GORGEOUS day.

I counteract the Benadryl with a coffee with a shot of espresso in it. It works nicely!

as i said in another thread, LOCAL honey is your friend. go find some. have a teaspoon of it every day. the pollen in it acts in the same way allergy shots do - building up your resistance. it won't be a quick fix, but it's a long term one.

Patricia "Hon of Hons" H. says:
My throat is swollen, my eyes are itchy and I am sneezing so loud everyone in my office can hear me! I can keep it mostly under control by irrigating my nose a couple of times a day with a saline solution. Really helps.
But I am intrigued by Suge's suggestion of the honey and am definitely going to try it.

Geoff "I Got A Rock" H. says:
Sorry Suge, but the local honey concept is a myth.
http://abcnews.go.com/...I actually did try it one year. I bought raw local honey and took a teaspoon every day for six months prior to spring and it didn't help at all.

Zeke "Easier to Keel the second time" S. says:
interesting in terms of local honey... when the doc says its a myth, he says so because it would not make scientific sense to him that it would work. But he does not site that he knows that it does not work...

Suge K. says:
the honey industry also isn't very organized and doesn't have millions to put out studies - or spend getting doctors to hawk their wares.
