Anyone know of any good hotel pools to sneak into?  It's gonna be a scorcher and I don't feel like fighting the crowds and traffic at the beach.

Seriously, went to Lafayette yesterday and it was awesome! You don't need to be a guest, most people there didn't seem to be. Lots of locals. Get there early to get a seat. It will be packed this weekend, I'm sure of it!

The Sheraton in mission bay across from the airport.  Multiple pools, easy parking.  The big salty pool over on the west side of town is good too and no one cares if you go there.

Yeah the Lafayette is the place to be.  Bar, pool and food!

I've heard the Hard Rock is nice too, but only if you're fabulous, which I'm not so I don't think it's my place to be.

Generally on Sundays most pools are a little more flexible on attendance.

With all hotels you want to play it low key and not try to make too much a scene until you have paid off the bartenders and cocktail waitresses.
Lafayette Hotel (El Cajon Blvd) Last year they used to throw a big party every Sunday... if you have a fair sized crowd tor a small group no bigger then 4 the mang won't trip.
JBar ( Hotel Solamar Down on 6th) they used to hold sun afternoon parties show up low key hang out a bit order some things from the cocktail waitress tell her your visting from LA and driving around heard this was a good summertime place slip in the pool have some fun.
Marriott Harborside. (harbor drive and market) this is a huge hotel so you can slip in pretty easily grab a lounge chair look like you belong slip in pool.
The Hotel Circle Hotels are generally more strict and could ask you for hotel keys.
best bet is to find out which places have an active entertainment call them up and ask if the pool is open for everyone thats not a guest (but you are looking for a plavce to spend the day and have lunch and cocktails)
The Ivy and Hard Rock will be on you to try out and see they are too many factors to try and guess those venues.

For the Hard Rock Hotel pool, I hear you can get on the guest list by seeing the concierge a day before.

Christina and C - what?!?!?! The lafayette is going to start ding that nonsense. Wow they really think they are going to build on the shoulders of our events from previously. Thats a shame to hear that.
Richard - you can contact the production company DJHere and submit your name for the list. They are starting up a sunday afternoon trying to capture the Rehab crowd. *shakes head* when will someone come up with something original in this city???
