I had to drop off this cat yesterday at the Pinole Animal Shelter.
http://www.co.contra-c...I found the poor thing on my front porch on Saturday night. It was raining pretty hard, so I made it a little bed and gave her some food. I would have kept her if she got along with Missy, but she kept hissing at her. I didn't want her to end up being killed by the neighborhood dogs. Many of them roam, so I took her to the shelter.
She's very friendly to people. She let me scratch her and pick her up.
If anyone could adopt this kitten please do. I really wanted to take her to the Berkeley Animal Care Services because they are a no kill shelter, but they knew we were from Richmond, so they didn't take her. Pinole is a kill shelter. I'm a little worried about that. If you know anyone, please pass this along.

Thanks Cheryl. It really made me sad that I had to take her to the shelter. I kept trying to get her to like Missy, but she was so scared.

Robert I thought that too, but I thought maybe it's too soon to get a replacement cat.

I was only able to last a week before getting a replacement cat. And once we got her, we both wished we had done so sooner. It's weird and makes you feel guilty, but somehow replacement cats help. And, as it turns out, our replacement cat is wonderful. Hates other cats and dogs, or we'd have a brood. I think next time, we'll go for siblings.

I'm probably going to check on the cat tommorow and talk to the staff at the shelter. I really hope someone will adopt her.
