Hey!  I've been to Westsider and Academy Lps for vinyl records in the past- does anyone know any other music shops that sell vinyl?

Oh.. there are so many, I wish I could think of them all.  Depends on what you want.. old punk, new house or garage imports.  But, here are a few I recall of varying types.  Satellite Records (259 Bowery), Subterranean Records (5 Cornelia St), Bleeker Bobs (118 W 3rd), Rebel Rebel (319 Bleeker) or Other Music (15 E 4th) - Tower across the street from Other Music may have some vinyl too.

Li Ping - just out of curiousity, why do you need vinyl?

I started a classical music collection a few weeks ago and I find that vinyl is much cheaper than cds- for classical at least.  And I just got a new record player as a gift- it was all shiny and nice...and made me want to get more stuff on vinyl.

Wow! That's awesome! I had like 20 children's stories on vinyl when I was little... and it was so much fun to listen to them! I think it's high time to bring back vinyl at home! :)
