Does anyone know of any fun stuff to do in the next few weeks?

As always, there's tons of restaurants to check out. There's an art show called ashes and snow that looks really good. It's about to end soon, so definitely check it out sooner rather than later! Check out
www.ashesandsnow.org for more info. It's on the Pier... Can't think of anything else off the top of my head, but that's a starting point...

Ashes and Snow is an art show on the piers, which will be there for a couple of more weeks. Also - David Byrne is playing at Central Park Summerstage on June 29th (Wed) - tix on ticketmaster. I'm not sure when Shakespeare in the Park is starting, but it's really fun, and free! Google it, and it will give you info on where to stand in lines. There are a ton of great restaurants and neighborhoods. West Village (Bleecker St) has lots of boutiques, Meatpacking District (Pastis, Spice Market, Markt) has great restaurants, Central Park is my favorite, or just walk on the West Side Highway park.

http://upcoming.org/me... has lots of listings for NYC, entered mostly by people who want to go to them rather the people hosting them, so that's the first place I look.

Exhibition on SLAVERY IN NEW YORK at N-Y Historical Society (Central Park West and 76th Street) is well worth it, if upsetting, for all visitors.
Nearby, on Upper West Side, are Amer. Museum of Natural History and plenty of restaurants and some shopping for clothes, etc., on Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues.
