I am co-hosting a birthday party for an out-of-town friend that is starting out at an apartment on the UWS. Does anyone have any suggestions for where we could take the party (maybe 20-25 people) once it becomes that time in the night to move on?

no idea what kind of place you're looking for or what you're into so maybe a little guidance would help
Jake's Dilemma or the Gin Mill are always crowded and is kind of a pop-college scene where patrons are generally getting pretty sauced and doing large parties like you're talking about. They both have private rooms for large parties and have pub grub that can be provided. Not my kind of joint, really, but I used to go there cuz my homie was a bouncer there. They are owned by the same company(Eat Drink & Be Merry) that owns down the hatch and Off the Wagon.
a couple suggestions..but I have many more up my sleeve if you let me know what you're looking for
