My boss just asked me to order a strawberry shortcake for delivery on Wednesday to our office which is on Madison Avenue and 61st street.  Does anyone know of a good bakery around here that'll deliver?  Thanks!

I don't know the UES too well, but Black Hound in the East Village has awesome cakes that they'll deliver (for a fee, of course).  I got the Chocolate Strawberry Banana cake for my boss' birthday from here and everyone in the office was in heaven.

I live in this area and we have some very fine bakeries. There are a bunch on third avenue in the 60s, or a Buttercup Bake Shop on 51st and 2nd, also Columbus Bakery on 52nd and 1st.

Well, at this point it's been about a year since I made this request and as per Jesse M. (hey, Jessie, where are you anyway?) we actually did get it from Buttercup and it was wonderful.
