My goodness, I just checked out Digitalcity South Florida and found this listed as a new business that just opened up on Lincoln Rd, how intriguing...sadly, I won't be around this weekend so if anyone's curious, I'd like to hear what it's like! A noodleshop would be awesome to have down here.
O Asian Grill/The Noodle Shop
330 Lincoln Rd
Miami Beach, FL 33139
Oh! What is this where Rumi used to be? Is it a fancy restaurant? A takeout place in which to lunch? That all depends on what time you arrive. Stop by during the day and you can grab a quick lunch of noodles in chilled, stir-fried or soup-ed up form, along with dim sum in the entrance area. Only 20 seats are available, though, so maybe consider taking your grub to go.
For a more leisurely -- and significantly more posh -- dining experience, arrive past sunset to experience this space's other personality: O Asian Grill. Just past that 30-foot bar you got a peek of earlier is a great lounge, while the upstairs area comprises three dynamic dining rooms. The look's all South Beach-meets-New York-meets-Asia, but the food's all unique. Order up some of the skewers grilled over Japanese charcoal and the yellowtail sashimi with jalapeo salsa, then chase it with sake and shochu cocktails to reach ultimate enlightenment. -- Riki Altman
