What type of coffee/tea and food do you typically order and drink to determine if a cafe is worth its beans/leaves?
For me, it's usually a latte, scone if they have it, or an almond croissant.

Mmmmm... a tasty macchiato, an espresso, and a black coffee. Oh and if they have pastries that factors in too. Cute staff may affect overall score. :P

Toxic sludge like coffee, a good non-glorified milkshake latte, scones, & the quality of the bagels along with what kind of cream cheese they use (I am SERIOUS about my bagels).
I usually take my crossaint cravings to the proffesionals (ie: boulangerie).
