I want a nice slab of filet mignon tonight.  Wanted to go somewhere new so I can yelp it, but there's nothing in the Peninsula area.  

I am tempted to go to Sundance in PA b/c it's a goody, I'm still smacking my lips from my visit 2 weeks ago.  Sigh.

Any ideas?!?!?!

Alexander's in Cupertino is pretty good. Bobo's in SF is another decent place. Mmm...I'm hungering for a good steak now too.

restaurants tend to serve short ribs and hanger / skirt steaks now.  WTF?!!!  haven't seen a filet mignon on the menu in a very very long time...

Sino - makes a grea porterhosue which is half NY.Half Filet Mignon

Ive heard that Prime on the Avenue in Burlingame is good but have yet to go.

KQN: I've been wanting to try Arcadia, b/c of M.Mina's creative cuisine, but I've heard bad things about this place.  No more prix fixe?

lulu-or they have filet, but they do medallions, that TOTALLY takes away from the moisture and the process of eating the meat..

I usually see filet, but I'm going to steakhouses in Tahoe and Vegas...haha.

The Steak Rossini, which is a Filet Mignon,  at Arcadia was quite excellent. I had a great experience there. I've heard people have bad experiences at Michael Minna in SF and now im hesitant to try it. I don't think I've heard anything bad about Arcadia though. In fact I was quite surprised that such a good restaurant was in San Jose.
