So age is not necessarily a disadvantage, but very young people have no way of knowing that, of really understanding that, until they are considerably older.

That being said, I strongly support Obama because the perspective of age is not the most important thing in this case, imo.

Yes, Ed, that's it, in general terms. And not true in all cases with all people. Obama appears to be a visionary, far ahead of McCain in perceptive abilities. He's unique in that regard.
And wisdom does not necessarily come with age.
But perspective does come with age, it's inevitable. And it is an advantage. And you can't know until you get up in age how great an advantage it is.
It's not experience, it's perspective that come from living a number of years.
Don't you have a perspective about teenagers that they don't have about themselves?
