That's actually a pretty good suggestion. It does make sense if you can substitute the bun for your burger from another sandwich. But it's sesame buns!! That's what make Big Macs cool.

ettucecheesepicklesonions, doesn't it... so substituting a different bun would not only destroy the (I can only assume) meticulous bun count of a McD's to the point where they would not willingly accomodate such a request , but also disrupt the delicate tower of a structure that is the Big Mac. I foresee a huge disaster in this undertaking.... and now I want frreakin McDonalds. Every time I see those goddamn golden arches i crave salt.

I'm tempted to try to ask tomorrow at my local Micky D's to see if they could substitute the buns. I am not going to buy it if they insist on me buying the chicken sandwich also.

I had the good fortune of sitting next to an exec from Burger King, he told me that McDonald's is taking all the heat for updating and making their food healthier, whilst they can offer 4 pattied Whoppers and extra BBQ sauce on thier food.
On a side note it turns out McDonalds is making a heavy investment in Chipotle nationwide in order to benifit from this new healthy food trend away from burgers and fries.

Yes you can! My boss was able to score a big mac in a wheat bun that goes on the Chicken sandwiches. Basically, he told me that they can easily change it in their register computer to replace the "regular" bun with the "white roll" bun.
