I've never been to either and wonder since they are both seemingly closer than Jackson Rancheria which is the nicer place? I love slots but my sis likes the tables (blackjack) which is better and has anyone taken once of the buses there? Please let me know :)

Thunder Valley is the most "Vegas-like" out of the local Indian casinos. It has more of a scene, and not just for gambling. Cache Creek tries to be like this, but it is still mostly about gambling, and that's it.

I prefer Cache Creek, just because it's larger (hence, more slots).  I've taken the bus to River Rock a few times, (not from SF, but from Vallejo); it's reliable, and you get about 6 hours of playing time before it heads back.

*  River Rock feels like 3 card tables and some slot machines in a big tent.
*  Cache Creek is more like a proper Vegas casino, and has lovely suites.  It's small, and the machines and tables get really full on weekends.  There was a loooooooonnnngggggg wait to get into the restaurants for some reason.
*  I haven't been to Thunder Valley (yet).

I've been to both and I'd definitely go to Cache Creek.  When I went to River Rock, it looked like 100 slot machines surrounding like 3-5 tables of action.  The place is pretty small overall and I didn't stay very long, especially with only a few tables.

Cache Creek isn't huge but I think there's enough tables of action if you go on a non weekend night.  I have come here on a weekend night with different results.  One night I came here, it was totally packed and the smallest minimum was 15$ for a blackjack table.  I think most of the tables had a 20$ to 25$ minimum.  Try coming here on a weekday or weekday night and you should be good.

I don't care much for all the fancy dancy lights and such..  I'm all about the winning and losing.  Needles to say, I've never won a dime at Cache Creek, however River Rock is another story.  I've won every time I've been to River Rock!  I've heard of people winning at Cache Creek, but never have "cashed" in myself.  The few I mean several times that I've gone to Cache Creek all I seen was despair and broken dreams..  I say stay away, but as always your luck maybe different..
