our spring promotion. We had enormous interest in the Stone Crop promotion and have already
surpassed the success of past promotions within the first month of release!
It is this success and the impact we are having in the Professional Skin Care market in North
America that invites competitors to challenge that success, whether through fair competition or
otherwise. We know Eminence is having an impact when we make changes in our business to
further strengthen the company and its product lines and competitors falsely suggest that these
changes undermine the integrity and quality of our products and the company.
We understand that you, our customers, are being provided with information, and in some cases
even solicited, questioning the changes we have made and in many cases providing you with
false or incomplete information concerning our company and our products. We believe we have
provided you with regular updates of our activities, but thought it valuable to share with you the
facts surrounding our changes to ensure that you are not misled by the false or partial
information being provided by our competitors:
1. Change of Manufacturers - In 2005 Eminence took control of its own production and
changed manufacturers in Hungary. Instead of using a private label manufacturer (until
February 2005, Ilcsi), Eminence now distributes a line of products developed and manufactured
by Eminence in Hungary, which enable us to provide our customers with superior Hungarian
Professional Skin Care products. In taking this step we have made huge investments to
improve production and to ensure delivery of the highest quality and most reliable Skin Care
products available.
Contrary to representations made by some of our competitors, Ilcsi did not cancel its distribution
contract with Eminence, but rather Ilcsi and Eminence were unable to agree upon the terms of
renewal of such contract. As a result, in February 2005 Eminence stopped purchasing Ilcsi
products but remained in possession of a large quantity of their products, which it continued to
sell until supplies were exhausted near the end of 2005. By that time Eminence developed new
products and established its own manufacturing in Hungary to ensure a seamless supply to its
partner Spas.
2. Notice of Change of Manufacturers - As a result of the change of manufacturer, our new
products and marketing material no longer reference Ilcsi. Eminence identified in

almost 50 years.
4. Marketing by Competitors - 10 years ago, when Eminence decided to distribute
Hungarian skin care products in North America, we created our own unique brand, marketing
material and product line. The creation of brand recognition and loyalty to "Eminence" was a
result of 10 years of hard work and branding in the market place. After Eminence took on its
own manufacturing, Ilcsi re-entered the market by entering into a distribution agreement with
another company to distribute its products in North America. Instead of promoting their own
unique line of products, some competitors attempted to copy Eminence's original and unique
concepts, product names, packaging, marketing and advertisement slogans. They also
attempted to induce our employees and contractors to breach their contracts with Eminence and
join them. We are now taking appropriate legal action or seeking legal advice in response to all
of these actions. Eminence is happy to compete with competitors who develop their own
marketing strategies, but feel it is unfair trade practice when competitors try to acquire
Eminence customers by confusing such customers as to the distinction between the two
companies.

sulphate and magnesium aluminium silicate from our products. With enhanced formulas and
facilities with greater sterile conditions, our new products have a longer shelf life, now in excess
of 12 months, without use of these chemicals. Our competitors are unable to make such claims,
as their products continue to contain these non-natural chemicals. As they cannot offer the
same quality of product as Eminence, these competitors are now suggesting to our customers
that we are lying about the contents of our products a statement that slander our company. We
will seek appropriate recourse against such falsehoods. We reassure you that it is through our
extensive research and development that we are able to distinguish ourselves from our

Ilike organic skincare made the Eminence which was the first of its kind .. Eminence Organic Skin Care left ilike and went on there own and might be made in hungry but will never have the same ingredients that ilike has... end of story... there is no competition...
