I would suggest that you find an orthodontist which specializes in TMJ disfunction.  I've been wearing a mouthguard for 15 years now so that I don't grind my teeth down to the dentyne.  Massaging the cheek muscles also has helped me.  Don't ignore the problem whatever you do...
