Hi everybody: I am still searching for dog-ok housing.  There are small parts of East Palo Alto that lie to the WEST of the 101. Menlo Park and Palo Alto housing prices closer to this border are slightly lower than those further west (ie closer to Woodside and Atherton).  Is this border area there also rough?

Specifically, I found a place in Menlo Park on Walnut Street, which is one block from the East Palo Alto border. The rent is reasonable and I just wonder if it's safe and quiet.
