I think my roommates, friends, and loved-ones are getting bored of me quoting Yelp reviews and this forum.
Do you talk about Yelp too much?

a little over a year ago i went on a vacation with 2 of my girfriends.
one of them is an obsessed yelper such as myself. the third girl not a yelper at all...... we knew we had a problem when the 3rd girl actually "sat us down" before the trip and said,
"ok, and i'm just going to say this once..... you two are only allowed to mention yelp, or someone on yelp, or some talk thread discussion on yelp ONCE A DAY during our trip. this conversation needs to be limited to nothing over 20 minutes or i'll fucking kill the both of you!"
she was dead serious.
we totally cracked up. tears and all..... on the vacation me and the other yelper girl had to sneak off from the third girl to have "yelp talks" because we're absolutely and totally insane.
hahaha fucking obsessed.

Yes I do. But it's ok. I recently caused a controversy with my inner circle over yelp reviews. Good times.

I find myself saying, "my friend said ______" in conversations with non-Yelpers because I don't want to say "This person who I know solely through his/her Internet identity said _____"

For the most part, I like to keep my internet life and real life separate.
I hardly ever talk about the website to people not on it. I think the most it ever comes up is when someone asks me how I found a restaurant, and I'll reply that I used the site. Even with the few Yelpers that I've met in person, I prefer to talk about anything other that the site. I figure that I'm already wasting away most of my life in front of a computer and I don't need to contribute more than I already am.
With that said, even if I don't talk about it outside of the realms of the keyboard, I'm probably on here too much for it not to be an obsession.

When I first started really Yelping, I yelped about it 24/7 to anyone and everyone. Now, I'm not here half the time, and rarely mention Yelp.
