Walt "hasn't been on Yelp much lately" Z. says:
i just put "don't bring me down" on mine.
i also have "the final countdown" on my phone, but it's reserved for fellow arrested development fans. i even have it set so that when said friends call me, they hear the same song. just say it. i'm an awesome friend.

Maria "Asano-mama mou suteki~" V. says:
I have the chocobo theme song from Final Fantasy. I'm considering getting the Victory! song though -- every time I get a call it's like I won an EPIC BATTLE.

Maria "Asano-mama mou suteki~" V. says:
Also I just got my new phone last night (LG blue mint chocolate) and the mofo is LOUD even on its lowest setting! So, chocobo music REALLY LOUD. Yea.

I used to have a lady singing "Pick up the phone, pick up the phone, pick up the phone, oooh yeah!" It was hilarious, I loved it. Wish there was a way to get it off my old phone, apparently that one's bluetooth is not compatible with my computer and I have yet to try it with my new, newer phone.
I've had some Arabic pop songs on mine too before, and I've noticed it sometimes freaks people out when I'm in a heavy-metal ringtone mood.
But the most annoying song ring I've ever had was for an alarm - 'Wake me up before you go go", Wham! I mean, fun song hehe it's one of a kind, but waking up to that and the jitterbug every morning made me want to scream. But it got me out of bed.

I want to change my phone's ringtone to the "bloop bleep" that CTU/Jack Bauer has in 24. I don't know why exactly but I do. My brother wants it too, haha.

Kiwi H. says:
hehe Maria, I just plugged my phone (Sony Ericsson k800i) into the comp. with a USB cable (specifically for the phone to comp and vice versa) and uploaded the MP3s I wanted onto the phone. Then once they were in the music folder of my phone, I set them as the ringtones.
I don't know that is helpful to you at all, I'm sorry!

Melissa A. says:
I used to have the ringtone from this Mentos commercial where all these birds started chirping and then something yells "THERE'S NO LIMIT!"
I wish I could get it back so bad :(
And now I'm trying to make "Popcorn" from Hot Butter as my ringtone, but I need an editing program.

I've got "The Office" theme and the Magnum PI theme song on my cell.

The funny thing about funny-song ringtones is that's your ringtone no matter what type of call. For instance, you can be at a party and there's some chick on the front porch crying because she's breaking up with her boyfriend and her phone rings and something like "I wanna jitterbug (snap) (snap) I wanna jitterbug" comes out and she doesn't even react like it's funny at all, because she's become so accustomed to it. Anyway, I find that kind of shit hilarious.

Maria "Asano-mama mou suteki~" V. says:
Adam -- HAHAH I know exactly what you mean! I'm always the person in the corner laughing but no one seems to get why it's funny. Glad to hear someone else notices this!
Lys -- I used a Sony Music ringtone-y thing, it's through Verizon's Get it now service? Not sure if this is available through other carriers. Anyway I searched for video game music (I, like every other dork, had the Super Mario theme for way too long as my default ringtone) and there were (only) two Final Fantasy songs, but hey, I likes me some Chocobo.

Maria "Asano-mama mou suteki~" V. says:
Wow Lys that'd definitely make an awesome ringtone, hahah! It grabs your attention... and now it's stuck in my head.

Lys "Hairy men need love, too" W. says:
Haha, I was just thinking the same thing. Its stuck on repeat in my head, maybe I should change to my backup ringtone which is Augustanna's Boston.

Jocelyn C. says:
I used to have the "Halloween" theme... that annoyed even me, but it was fun for the first two seconds of having it. Now my ringtone is "London Calling" because I think that may be the least annoying ringtone AT&T offers.

Tracee "casper" D. says:
I have Tell Me (If You Want Me To)" by Groove Theory, it's 90's bliss.
12/11/2007
Maria "Asano-mama mou suteki~" V. says:
AUGHHH "Boston" was the ringtone I had on my old phone exclusively for when my parents called -- they are why I moved closer to the city, hence the song, I think I'll go to Boston etc. Now I just equate the song with "AUUUGH WHAT DO THEY WANT NOW?!?!" so I can never listen to it again :(

Mine..is everytime we touch...which pretty much makes me wanna jump/die each time it rings. I also have: like a prayer, don't stop the music..and other super queer songs...it's always a DANCE PARTY!!!

Alex "Prom Queen" R. says:
Seriously, not to make you guys feel bad but my phone has this voice recording feature and then you can set that as your ringtone. So, for instance, all I gotta do is hold my phone up to the computer while I play the Knight Rider theme for a few seconds, and...voila! I now have the phone of Tracee's dreams.
12/11/2007
Kiwi H. says:
Hehe Alex my phone does that too, I used to have a recording of my sister singing the Meow Mix song just to freak her out. hehehehe.
I used to also have the ICQ "uh-oh!!" or "hello!!!" from worms whenever I'd get a text, but I lost it and haven't replaced it yet. :( It was annoyingly cute.
Haha Maria I used to have a picture of Panadol as the picture for when my parents called since it would probably be a long-winded possibly headache-inducing call. I've been nicer lately though and put an actual pic of my parents on instead now hehehe.
