This is kind of why my mom wants me to get married and have 90 children to check up on me.
The old guy next to my apartment in Beacon Hill died and no one noticed for awhile. I tried to avoid him because he kind of creeped me out.. slash he told my roommate that it was "quite alright to live with an Oriental girl" as long as we were just roommates or something. I moved out before he passed.. but he didn't leave his windows open so my old roommate said people started to complain about a smell.

I had a guy once who was in his apartment for over a month (the time period overlapped a few heat waves). The maintenence people got a complaint of a bad odor and then noticed a lot of flies inside his window - you can imagine the rest. Even the State Police CPAC guy said it was the worst one he had even seen. We were pretty amazed nobody called a few weeks earlier.

But, no, nosy neighbors can be a problem... Someone in my building was smoking "marijuana" daily and one of my neighbors (I guess) thought it was me. So the cops showed up twice. Found it really intrusive and offensive.
PS If I die in my apt and no one notices...that'll suck too.
