    • Q:

Do they have a private room? And if so how many can it hold roughly?

      A:

Actually Cioppinos does have a private room. IT is behind the bar and you step up about three steps and there is a entire separate room with a view of the water. I've been in that room twice for events and they provide full service food and bar… more

The food was alright but expensive. The staff was quite nice. The dining room had many photos of the city. Would have preferred if it was a sit down experience rather than order at the counter.

The food was amazing, I got the popcorn shrimp, Caesar salad, as well as their garlic bread. Little did I know that When I would order the tiramisu it would be EXTREMELY mushy. Definitely not the highlight of the meal. Everything else was delicious I went 2 times in 1 day.

The food is good here - calamari is perfectly cooked and crunchy yet light breading. The Louie salad has a variety of seafood and is really fresh. Clam chowder is worth a try. The cioppino has a good amount of seafood and great flavor. How does it compare to sotte mare and woodhouse? Sotto mare has the most seafood yet the flavor is a bit watered down; woodhouse is top notch all around ... cioppino's is solidly right in between.

The restaurant is very large so you can definitely get a table even on a weekend but I still recommend making reservations. Just to note - there's no real water view but you can still see the ships.

Service is good but the staff has large areas to cover so not the most attentive.

Overall, I recommend checking it out!

First time and not too impressed.
The food was good but not for the price.
Flavor was consistent but it wasn't anything better than Alfredo made at home. The server was also missing almost 90% of the time.

Keep in mind, if you bring a cake for a birthday celebration they will charge you $2 per person to bring the cake in.

The Dungeness Crab Cakes were a hit, with three flavorful and crispy cakes served alongside a delightful pesto aioli. However, one of the crab cakes was overcooked, resulting in a slightly burnt outer crust.

The Clam Chowder was a highlight, an award-winning New England-style white clam chowder that was creamy and perfectly seasoned.

The Cioppino Signature Dish lived up to its name, presenting a seafood extravaganza in a savory tomato broth. The only downside was the limited garlic sourdough toast--just two pieces left us longing for more to fully savor the delicious broth.

The Seafood Fettuccine, featuring salmon, shrimp, clams, mussels, and green onions in a savory marinara sauce, was a tasty treat. Similarly, the Seafood Risotto, with fresh calamari, shrimp, and mussels, left us wishing for a larger portion to fill our stomachs adequately.

*Tip: The small parking lot next to the restaurant was a convenient plus!

We stopped in for a quick lunch that lingered on a bit. We had a personal pizza that was big enough for the 3 of us to share. And delicious. The crust was perfection! The side salad that one of us ordered could have easily served at least two of us. It was fresh and colorful, like something we'd mage at home. Our server was efficient, professional, kind, and friendly. He made us feel like we came into his house as guests, never hurrying us, making sure our water glasses were always filled, and created an atmosphere that made us feel very welcome AND want to come again.
One of us had to leave early but two of his had tea and stayed to chat for about an hour. No one tried to hurry us, which is so unusual in the City. And we had to actually ask for our bill rather than having it put on the table by a wait staff as an encouragement to leave. Grazie mille

This authentic Italian and seafood restaurant is located in the Fishman's Wharf, we were fortunately to get and get a table with out an reservation, the host even open the door while greeting you, there is a very huge and cute patio on both sides of the entrance, we were seated quickly.
The deco is very nice here, the bar is huge in the center of the restaurant, what we had to eat I can't remember but trust me when I say that everything that we ate look good, smell good and it was absolutely delicious, our server was very knowledgeable and friendly, I would most definitely come back here.

Maybe a tier up from a tourist trap. Passable food at Fisherman's Wharf prices. Ordered a spread of fried seafood. Calamari was terrible; the cod was surprisingly the best item.

My son ate the kids linguine and was very happy with it. Everyone else in the group was happy with what they got.

Our party of 4 got seated right away on a Saturday afternoon. I think if you wanted to sit outside, there was a wait. Service was friendly, but a bit rushed.

Would actually consider returning to in the future if in the area again.
