Jeremy Stoppelman

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer

Jeremy co-founded Yelp Inc. in July 2004 with former colleague Russel Simmons. Prior to Yelp, Jeremy was the VP of engineering at PayPal. He left PayPal in the summer of 2003 to attend Harvard Business School. He joined a start-up incubator in the Summer of 2004 and left Harvard to launch Yelp. Jeremy holds a B.S. in computer engineering from the University of Illinois.

Russel Simmons

Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer

Russ co-founded Yelp Inc. in July 2004 with former colleague Jeremy Stoppelman. Prior to Yelp, Russ was one of the early employees and the lead software architect at PayPal. He led a team of top engineers on critical projects related to security, scalability, stability, and internationalization as the company scaled rapidly. Russ joined a start-up incubator in the summer of 2004 where he teamed up with Jeremy to launch Yelp. Russ holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of Illinois.

Geoff Donaker

Chief Operating Officer

Geoff joined Yelp in November 2005 and has been COO since Summer 2006. Geoff started working on Web businesses in 1998; prior to Yelp he helped grow online communities at eBay, Voter.com, Excite and Classifieds2000. He is also an alumnus of Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman) and holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Stanford University.

Neil Kumar

Vice President of Engineering

Neil joined the team in December 2005. Prior to Yelp, Neil spent three years working with Sony of America on various R&D projects for their PlayStation and PSP platforms. In addition, he developed several digital music distribution systems for Sony Music. His previous experience includes software engineering and technical leadership roles at Liquid Audio. Neil holds a B.S. in computer engineering from the University of Illinois.

Vlado Herman

Vice President of Finance & Administration

Vlado joined Yelp in December 2006. Prior to Yelp he held several roles at Yahoo, most recently as Senior Director of Operations Finance for the Search & Marketplace business unit, in addition, Vlado has held finance & accounting roles at Intel Corporation, Ernst & Young LLP and Unocal Corporation. Vlado holds an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and a B.S. in accounting from California State University, Northridge.

Jed Nachman

Vice President of Sales

Jed joined Yelp in January 2007. Prior to Yelp, Jed spent seven years in senior sales roles for Yahoo! HotJobs, most recently as Director of Corporate Sales for the Western Region. He began his career in the Venture Services Group of investment bank Robertson Stephens. Jed has a B.A. in economics from the University of Colorado.

Laurence Wilson

General Counsel

Laurence joined Yelp in November 2007. Prior to Yelp, Laurence was on the management team at Xoom, an online money transfer company with strong PayPal roots and backing from Sequoia Capital and New Enterprise Associates. He has also advised a handful of other technology start-ups in the area. Laurence has a J.D. from Stanford Law School and an undergraduate degree from U.C. San Diego.

Vince Sollitto

Vice President of Corporate Communications

Vince joined Yelp in April 2009. He has nearly 20 years of experience in communications in the private and public sectors. Vince was vice president of communications at PayPal, from the launch of the service until its sale to eBay three years later. Most recently, he led communications efforts at search start-up Cuil. Vince has also served as a spokesman for California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, a U.S. Senator, a Congressman and the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee. He has a B.A. in public policy studies and political science from Duke University.
