See All Lists1. SEVEN Salon
Maybe I thought going downtown to this high-ish end salon in downtown Seattle would be a bit intimidating. When I got there, the open plan and all-black clad group could also have been intimidating. But... The staff and general vibe was so welcoming.…More »

4. Universal Salon
Seattle, WA 98199
(206) 281-3544
Neighborhood: Magnolia
It passes the five star test- I'll always plan my next visit back before I leave the place. This is what I like:
-Tiki hut decorations, including indoor grass roof
-Pressed tin wall decor, slate floors
-Ultra clean environment- They keep all files,…More »
5. Taylor's Fine Dry Cleaning
First, I'll say that they are not the least expensive dry cleaner in the world. So, being cautious with the five stars I hand out, I'll give them a four for cost.
Some might want to go to a 99 cents per shirt cleaners, but the extra $1.50 or so per…More »
6. Quick Dry Cleaning and Laundry

This place uses environmentally sound dry-cleaning practices, but does not charge you extra for this. This is one of the facts that makes them better than the other cleaners directly across the street. They are also cheaper and cooler in general.…More »

Love this place, of course, like all reviewers. It's a haven, an oasis in the middle of the city, a mini vacation. You must hike down to the lighthouse.
One issue: The Daybreak Indian Cultural Center is really run down and strange, eerie. If you are…More »

Categories: Swimming Pools, Beaches
Neighborhood: Magnolia
Not a lap pool most of the time, although they have a schedule that slots it in early in the morning and at night. Not early enough for me actually- I'd like to get in there before work, but they don't open until 7 am I think, so it is not possible.…More »
9. Ulta Cosmetics
This place is worth a visit! They have a ton of products and carry lines you cannot find anywhere (even at Nordstroms or Macy's) except on line or at Sephora. I never buy beauty products for the first time on line, so this is a good option.
They also…More »
10. Glynn's Salon
This place is busy and a little understaffed. They are also randomly closed now and then (once every few months) when it's normal business hours.
Other than that... They are in a house-like building just off the Dravus St. Exit on 15th Ave.
I did…More »
