Eric’s 4-star review:
If you like Banh Mi then it is worth checking this place out. I would say that so far this is the best one I have had in the Portland Area.
Here are two tips to remember when you go:
1. Order sandwich #11 - Banh Mi Thit Nuong. It is not on the board but it is on the menu. The person I suspect is the owner mentioned it was a new addition to the menu.
2. Go for extra meat for 50 cents, it brings the whole sandwich to a whooping $3.25
Overall it was great, needed a bit of salt which was on each table, fresh ingredients, the peppers were not overpowering and the bread was perfect.
Do not grimace but if you like sweet and purple (who got it?), then you might want to try the taro milk tea with or without the tapioca boba. For years I just dismissed these drinks but a friend talked me into trying one and I am glad they did.
They also have a small store area for buying Vietnamese ingredients, get your rooster sauce fix here.
