Great tacos. One is usually enough. Dublin Dr. Pepper at this location.
Don't overlook the queso. It's really good.

One of my favorite spots in Austin. Recommend the Cowboy taco. Get there before or after the lunch rush since seating is limited.
Fantastic pies of course, but also good small town atmosphere and a real love for people and food. You'll be glad you made the trip. Always call before you head out there (their schedule is sometimes unpredictable) and if you want to just get pie…More »

A favorite of ours. High quality, consistent food. Be adventurous - you won't be disappointed.
Don't order the chicken or bbq here. It's not bad, but there are better options. Eat bbq at a bbq joint and don't eat chicken when dining out unless…More »

My favorite bakery in Austin. Go for the food and people watch if you have the time. Coffee is ok, but not great. You come here for the cakes, muffins and other delightful pastries.
Their blueberry bran muffin is my favorite muffin anywhere.
One of my favorite coffee shops in town. Wonderful presentation and delicious. Pasty display is usually stocked with tasty treats.
While it's usually quite busy, I've never had much trouble finding a seat. Reliable wifi with lots of remote workers…More »

Do three things at Chez Zee and you'll have a wonderful meal:
1. if you're there for breakfast, order the creme brulee french toast
2. don't be shy about eating the croissants and strawberry butter
3. save room for dessert

Hoover's is the real deal.
Only tips are to ask for bread when you sit down and know that most of the food is spicy.
Love the cheese steak and homemade chips here. Recommend asking them to go light on the cheese though - it'll still be enough.

Okay, I grew up in Driftwood and have had the pleasure of dining at the Salt Lick on over 500 occassions. I watched it grow from weekday lunch to the institution it's become today. A few thoughts...

My favorite spot for non-greasy burger and fries. The microbrews are good, though not great.
One of my new favorites in town. Great food, presentation, wine list and staff. Like the dessert trio trays too. A great spot for a nice dinner.

My favorite steakhouse in Austin right now. Excellent service, good decor, nice sides and really good steaks. Wine menu is extensive.
One of my favorite BBQ spots. Order by the pound, grab a few sides and don't worry about any sauce. Shoulder is my favorite.
