What/Why:: Ghirardelli Square will host the third annual Uncorked! Wine Festival. In partnership with COPIA, the American Center for Wine, Food & Arts located in Napa, Uncorked is a public event which provides an opportunity to taste, learn and experience wine and gourmet food from throughout Northern California.

Other activities include cooking demonstrations by renown Bay Area chefs, seminars conducted by COPIA such as Wine 101 and Chocolate & Wine Pairings.
Marisa Churchill from Bravo's Top Chef will be conducting a demonstration inside Cellar360 at 1:30. You must pre-purchase a ticket for $11.50 to participate in this aspect of the event. Tickets are available online.

Admission is free, but you must purchase a ticket to participate in unlimited wine tastings ($40 if purchased in advance online, $45 at the door).

I know very little about wine other than that it is yummier and makes food tastier. It's a bunch of booths set up all over the square where you can go up and try samples.

Also, kids wear your sunscreen. I got a nasty sunburn at this last year even with it being overcast and cool.
