Intersection for the Arts, San Francisco's oldest alternative art space and one of the most treasured Bay Area institutions, presents its annual fundraising auction and celebrates its 43rd birthday at one of the hottest parties of the year. This year's auction features art work from nearly 100 of the Bay Area's most celebrated artists, including Binh Dahn, Claudia Bernardi, Andrew Schoultz, Rigo 23, Deborah Oropallo, Ala Ebtekar and includes paintings, drawings, photographs, sculpture, video, and prints.

This auction provides a perfect opportunity for long-time or beginning collectors to buy artwork at affordable prices. The pieces range in size and styles, prices range from $50 to $5,000. Partygoers can expect great music, live DJs, special performances from resident performing artists, food, wine, refreshments and a local artist celebrity as an auctioneer. All proceeds benefit Intersection for the Arts, its programs, and the hundreds of artists it supports each year.

The Auction is on exhibit from May 31-June 6, 2008 for public viewing. Gallery admission is free and gallery hours are Sunday-Saturday, 12-7pm
