This event is the largest Oyster festival on the West Coast drawing over 15,000 people to the park last year.
This 9th Annual event centers around the unique combination of oysters and stout and is supported by a great cast of contemporary live music.
A wide variety of other beverages will also be available, ranging from beers, wines and premium spirits. Though oysters are the main theme of the festival many alternative choices of cuisine will be offered.
There will be a number of very interesting sideshows, the Shuck and Suck Competition, Oyster History Exhibition and Oyster Cooking Demonstrations. A play area will be set aside for children. Anyone under age 14 will have free entry, except for the Special Reserved seating area. Minors will not be permitted to enter the event if unaccompanied by an adult.

Are the "$45 Special Reserve (Premium Seating Area)" tickets worth it? Does the premium seating area have it's own beer and food lines? I went last year and it was a blast, but the beer and food lines were a drag.
I already bought my tickets. Going purely to see She & Him. I guess there will be Oysters and Beer there too? Haha - guess I'll have to partake in that as well.
Anybody know approximately time lineup for the shows Saturday. I don't want to miss the Dropkicks but don't want to be there for 7 hours! Do you think they'll come on during the middle of the afternoon like 3?
Rusty -- Last year Floggin Molly headlined and they didn't go on until 5. Maybe 4:30ish.. Had to leave mid-set due to a dinner birthday party.. ugh! getting there by 3 to be safe sounds good!

there was just raw and bbq oysters..at least that's what i saw...i thought there would be a lot more varity of oysters...since well...it is a Oyster Fest...so it was kinda disappointing, but the raw oysters were delish nonetheless and u really couldn't top the weather today (saturday)
