Happy New Year Yelp New York!
As a presidential kick off to 2009, we're throwing the biggest party New York Yelp has ever seen from 8 - 10pm on January 20th, 2009 at Country on Madison Ave. That's right, you heard us, it's time to get in line for the Yelp Inaugural Ball!
Prepare your palate to enjoy delectable treats courtesy of Country's master chef, Geoffrey Zakarian. Yelpers have called his food "deeply satisfying, "unbelievably beautiful," and just plain "yum," and that's a culinary proposition we can all support.
There'll also be an array of tantalizing performances and experiences to make you glad you voted (you did, right?). You can look forward to the booty shaking goodness of Sugar Shack Burlesque in the Champagne Room. And if you can't handle the heat, make sure to hit the Indy Drink Room where we'll be featuring tastes from a few choice boutique liquors, beers and wine purveyors. And when you need a change of scene, be sure to mosey over to our "A Change We Can Believe In" Manicure Room, where the lovely ladies from Spa Chinois will be giving out complimentary nail makeovers!
After working up a sweat on the dancefloor, cool down with cocktails provided by Saaga Vodka. Mind the paparazzi you party animal, Denisimo and his crew will be manning the Obamabooth where yelpers can get a shot with our very own "Barack O". Don't get too tipsy though, or you might miss ImaginAerial's gravity-defying feats, sure to cause a change in the pants for some. While the cost of entry is nil, we will be asking for donations to local food kitchen, St. John's Bread & Life. Your $10 donation supplies five hot, nutritious meals OR an Emergency Grocery Pack for a family of four.

All you've got to do is send us your RSVP with the subject line "Inaugural Ball" and be sure to include your first & last name, guest's full name and a link to your Yelp profile directly to nyparty@yelp.com. You MUST email nyparty@yelp.com or you will not be on the list, clicking "I'm In" or "Sounds Cool" DOES NOT mean you are on the guest list.
