Touching Home Screening

What/Why:

In making Touching Home, identical twins Logan and Noah Miller have accomplished the impossible. When their homeless father died in jail, they vowed their autobiographical film would be made as a dedication to him. With no money, they "ambushed" 4-time Oscar nominee Ed Harris in a San Francisco alley, and assembled a cast and crew with 11 Academy Awards and 28 nominations.  Harris is extraordinary in this emotionally charged drama about family and the bonds that matter.

7:30 PM show followed by Q&A with the Miller brothers in person for inviting your Yelpers.

*** We have FREE tickets to the 7:30pm screening on Friday, May 14th. Please RSVP by clicking the button to the right ***

I went to the premiere in Sacramento. Ed Harris was at ours, though. After the movie there was a Q&A with him and the twins. The movie was good. The acting by the twins was horrible, but that is to be expected I guess since they are not actors. But overall it was a nice time.

The movie started kinda slowly but I definitely got caught up in the story. Hubby loved it. He bought me the book and chatted up the guys after the Q&A. We skipped the free brews and went to eat some bad for ya food instead.
I read their book today and it was kinda inspirational. Go figure.
    And Ed Harris rocks. Always.
Was that Lee Merriweather as the grandma?
    Good times.Thanks Ms.Jane / Yelp.
