Barcelona Enterprises supports the Be Kind to Animals Week "Humane Education for Youth" at the North Central Animal Shelter in the City of Los Angeles, Saturday May 10, 2008. The event is an educational event, targeted at school children. They have spectacular guest speakers such as Cesar Milan (the Dog Whisper), who will hosting workshops with the children.

Be Kind to Animals Week was started by the American Human Association in 1915 to celebrate the unique bond between humans and animals. Every year, animal shelters throughout the country hold special events during this special week to raise awareness about Being Kind to Animals, and to educate children and adults about the amazing role animals play in our lives.
Our goal is not only engaging and educating the children about being humane towards animals, we want to also bring to the attention of the children the different types of career opportunities with animals, such as becoming a veterinarian, animal control officer, Animal Cruelty Task Force Officer, LAFD search and rescue handler, etc
