47th Annual Sunland-Tujunga WATERMELON FESTIVAL- Exciting celebration of Watermelons and family fun, sponsored by the Lions Club of Sunland-Tujunga. Featuring Free Watermelon for all, a Watermelon carving display, a Watermelon eating contest with exciting prizes, and a Watermelon seed spitting contest! Can you break the world record of 68 feet, 91/2 inches, set in Luling, Texas?

Also, a Watermelon hat decorating contest, and the much anticipated Watermelon Festival Queen contest. International food court, beer and wine gardens, festival marketplace featuring arts and crafts vendors and live musical entertainment and dancing each day.

Kids will enjoy the carnival rides, arcade games, pony rides, petting zoo, face painters, storytellers and bicycle prize draws.

Funds raised by the Watermelon Festival are used by the Sunland-Tujunga Lions Club to provide help and support to many Sunland-Tujunga youth and community activities, help with disaster relief, and to support many health and vision conservation programs in California, across the nation and throughout the world.
