I gained 10 lbs during Yelp Eats last year...but it was so worth it!
Now I just have to figure out how to hit up 21 restaurants in 7 days for dinner...

Colleen.  What are the sign up deadlines?  Are there a maximum number of people for each location?  Do you need to identify which restaurant you will be eating at when confirming, "I'm In!"  Just want to understand details to make sure I don't mess up Yelp and/or the restaurants who have agreed to participate.

Hi John!

Yelp has just set up the menus, and the participating locations. This way you can enjoy the menus at any of the restaurants, on any of the nights. Solo, with a date, a group of people...no matter! It can be yelpers, or non-yelpers...all are welcome to join in.

The menus have just been set up, and can be enjoyed at your convenience from 6/1-6/7.

Clicking "im in" just indicates you are interested in the promotion, and will be dining. Reservations are recommended!

It's not a "Yelp event" in the strictest sense, but is a great opportunity to dine at a great price all over the city! (and some burbs!)

How do you choose?  I guess you can do a 5:00 PM dinner and a 9:00 PM dinner, but that still only gets you 14 dinners.....

Lauren I saw that Venus has a veggie option. I'm sure there are others that's just the first one I looked at.

Lauren, we bulked up last year and did a ton of group Yelp Eats meals out... the spots were great about veggie swaps...  if you call the restaurant, they will 99.9% of the time sub a veggie dish in for you. Since it's more cost efficient for them anyway to exclude a protein I'm sure they will still be happy this year again to accommodate!

WOW these all sound great! I'm in a glass case of emotion thanks to working in the burbs--will probably only be able to make 2-3, but on the flip side it prevents me from going 7 for 7 & gaining 70 pounds. I still like the sound of the 70 pound option better though... ;-)

Ok I just did Uncommon Ground on Devon. Sadly nothing mentions these menus only are in the evening after 5pm. I still got the Gnocchi and it was amazing. Its ok im not a soup or salad fan but... I would have loved to do dessert. I skipped as I am trying to shed a few pounds still. Doing Kinzie Chop House on Thursday.

Erin, so far I've only done La Madia, but I can highly recommend it. Be prepared to get more food than you can eat. The appetizer salad is nearly entree size, the pizza could feed two (assuming you had an appetizer also), the pizza fondue is pretty big as well. And everything was so tasty! If you go I suggest taking half your entree home so you have room for the yummy dessert.

Kinzie Chop House might be a winner with the BF, lots of meat! :)

Josh- I am a big fan of La Madia, but should probably use this opportunity to try something new.

Just an FYI, Oceanique does not give you a choice in your dessert.  They give you a sampling of their pastries and they were all good.  Try to request the bay leaf ice cream.  You won't be sorry.

I was originally only going to go to Nacional 27, but after reading all the reviews for Tapas Valencia, I'm going there, too!

Just got back from Nacional 27. There were 3 of us and we got 3 different appetizers - Ahi Tuna & Watermelon (really good), Shrimp & Scallop Ceviche (Good), Shrimp Adobado (Blah). Portion sizes were rather small. For main course 2 of us got the fish. We were told that instead of the grouper, they had halibut. Either way, the dish was very flavourful and it came with russet potatoes and this yummy sauce and I am glad I got it. My friend got the chicken and it was disappointing (& dry) to say the least. For desert we all opted for the Callebaut Chocolate Cake. Once again we were informed that they ran out since they had a lot of people requesting the yelp menu. We could still get the Mango Ice and/or a Rum Cake. Once again, we all opted for you know what - the rum cake. But wait, don't make the mistake we did since it was just pound cake with a small scoop of icecream and a caramel rum drizzle on the side. In a nutshell, if you plan to go, get the Ahi Tuna, the Grouper and the Callebaut Chocolate Cake assuming they still have some left. Thank you Colleen for all your efforts in putting this together. Devon Seafood beckons on Thursday. :)

Oh man, Kinzie is my favorite steakhouse, and I was overlooking them since I've been several times.  But calamari, scallops, and filet medallions sound awesome.  Damnit.

We did Blue 13 tonight, which may have been better than last night's meal at Tapas Valencia..and I didn't think that was possible! I think they are pretty booked up this week, but see if you can get a reservation at Blue 13. Incredible!

Just got back from Oceanique. It was fabulous -- absolutely worth it. Also, thanks, Yelp, for having regular menu items on your special menu. It gives a much better sense of the restaurant than when there's a restaurant-week only menu. The shrimp and calamari salad was a standout, and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous dessert portions.

Just got home from Blue 13.  There are really no words but HELL YEAH!  Between the 2 of us, my husband and I had the mac n cheese, butternut squash pasta, scallops and both of the desserts.  It was FAN. TAS. TIC!

Went to Blue 13 tonight, it was my first time and I was blown away. Between my friend & I we tried everything on the Yelp Eats menu but the chicken entree and it was all fanfreakintastic. Review to follow tomorrow! I love Yelp Eats!!

Anyone interested in Tapas Valencia for Friday......

A tip for those going to Brasserie Jo, from someone in the know: definately order the beer and cheese beignets as your first course...they're fabulous.  All three of the entrees are wonderful as well, but I'd recommend the sole.  Also, for some reason the menu doesn't tell diners that there is ham in the macaroni and cheese, however, this can be omitted.  Vegetarian?  Order the mac and cheese, sans the ham, and ask for mushrooms and/or spinach to be added...there shouldn't be an extra charge, but you can inquire, just in case.  One last tip...ask your server for chocolate or caramel sauce with your ice cream dessert...there won't be an additional charge.

Darn it Craig, I was just there last night! I would have loved some caramel sauce on my ice cream.

This week -- well, this month -- turned out to be a bad time for Yelp Eats for me. $25 turns into $35 with tax and tip, and if you add some boozahol... I ended up canceling some plans. Though I'm still doing Venus tomorrow!

Blue 13 was fabulous! Will review everything after tomorrow's visit to Kinzie!

Clearly I'm a Yelp Eats addict because yesterday morning I said I was done, but last night somehow I found myself pix fixing it up at Venus. And based on those portion sizes I think I'm going to full until at least August.  

So now I'm for real done, but we do have one night left of Yelp Eats. Who's going out this evening for one last Yelp Eats meal?
