LOL I'm in DC Oct 2-12th for 3-day walk and visiting family.... then leaving again for DC after work on Oct 16th... this is right in the middle of those trips AND I can get a shuttle to Kendall from work...... I think this is fate. ;-)

They said confirmations would be sent out by the 11th. (At least I'm pretty sure that's what I remember reading...) Give them time to do their thing.

Tom, I know that it's a hard waiting game, as everyone who RSVP's is anxious to see if they got in or not... but you just have to be patient. Event lists take awhile to compile, especially ones this large where there are two areas for people to RSVP to (Elite and Non-Elite).... I think Rebecca is right that it's going to be around the 11th to hear something back... can't fully remember but that sounds about right.

Hey guys! I know everyone is totally psyched for this event....and with good reason =) But we gave some RSVP dates as to when you'd hear back, so just hang tight for those dates!

It's not that we don't want to give you feedback...we DO! And we'll give it on the days we promised:

Elites: today! (stayed tuned)
General community: By the 11th

As for why we closed the guest list so early....we had an overwhelming response and it filled up FAST! So we capped the list because we just won't be able to accommodate SO many people! We'll be having more events like this, and we'll be sure to make room when possible for those who missed out this one!

hmm... I figured that was probably partially the case.  I was tyring to get my roomate to come with me but he works as a waiter at Scampo and they seem to be pretty bad at organizing the schedule there.  At any rate none of my friends are very organized at planning stuff more than a couple days in advance and thus I'm not either.  I'll have to try to get better at that.  This is why I never make it to these things.  : /

But if there is another event like this where the RSVP dates are posted that means I shouldn't count on the RSVP time period staying open until the date alloted?

As with all of our events that are open to everyone, we give Elites the first hour to come and get a head start--then everyone else is invited to join in on the fun at 8pm!

It opens at 8pm to the general community...just like an open event (like Red Carpet), which is what this essentially is, except not so fancy =)

in defense of those going to Legals...it is RIGHT there...and it's also the ONLY bar in that immediate area...so...See you Legal's.  I'll be dressed like a douche coming from work.

Legal is supposed to be decent for drinks since they re-worked the cocktail list, right?

I think CBC is the best destination for the afterparty, or we could cross the Longsfellow bridge and hit up Beacon Hill Pub again (if we're still welcome there..), or head up north to Courtside on Cambridge St for some divey action.

That said, probably the most important thing is that we just make a choice!

I think its better when the after party is a game time decision... beacon hill pub was and that was an excellent after party... Maybe someone there will have a better suggestion and then we can roll with it

My friend from Minnesota who worked behind the bar with me there slinging drinks just took over as the manager at the Kendall Legal Seafood - and I support him, he is an awesome bartender (hell, I taught him everything he knows... ha ha).  I do not eat seafood, I love their sangria - so liquid dinner for Kat!  (and hanging with friends woo hoo!)
