Silent Dance Experiment!

Glastonbury musical festival in England has a midnight noise curfew for performances, so in the dance tents they hand out headphones to everyone to keep it going til dawn. Watching hundreds of people dancing together in silence is possibly more fun than actually doing the dancing.

If I coincidentally walked by this I would think it was cool, but I can't see myself ever wanting to take part of something like this.  I better leave it to all you weirdos. =p

I love love love the sound of this.  The other day at Grand central station in nyc a huge amount of people just froze in place for 5 minutes.  It was awesome/hysterical.  Most new yorkers just went on about their business, some of them poked at the "statues".  It was great!

I'm definitely doing this.

Obligatory buzzkill: It'd be nice if we did some stuff in Boston that wasn't simply an imitation of what another city has already done!

Maria: I agree, we're just doing events like this to get our name out/build a following.  More original ideas are in the works...

Silent Disco! This concept is awesome. Its great to be part of the secession, all synced up with cordless headphones, dancing with a 100 others all to the same beat.

Its also amazing to not participate and just watch, with no sound.

Hey everyone! As Ethan said, the song is now up and available for download on the website. Plus, there are some new updates:

1.  We are no longer starting at the sound of the airhorn.  We are going to synchronize our watches to the given clock on the website.

2.  This event has a lot of participants, so try to spread out!

3.  Show up early and don\'t ruin the surprise, don\'t listen to the MP3 until the day/time of!

I watched Tom watching. HA ... C R E E P Y!  LOL  But seriously, it was an entertaining 15 mins. Then I went and had a few Magners at the Dragon, because its ALWAYS Magners time.
