What/Why:: WABA's Webster Street Jam, a two-day international music, food, wine and art festival in the heart of historic West Alameda, takes place on the second weekend in September along a four-block section of Webster Street. From two stages, musicians keep things lively with an eclectic sampling of sounds from around the world and close to home. Local artisans display their original artworks and crafts while festival-goers sample great food from local chefs and sip local wines and beers. A children's play area offers continuous activities to ensure this is a family-friendly event.
