Golden 1 is great.  They have the lowest fees of any financial institution around.  The staff are friendly and knowledgable about its services and the lines at the branches are never too long (with the exception of the one near Target on Broadway on Saturdays).    Their rates on CD's, especially when they're running a special, are usually higher than those offered at other banks.  I shopped around…
