Ah, the old Milner Inn.  Back 10 years ago when I was playing Carney down around NC I had the pleasure of staying here for about 2 weeks.  I somehow have nothing but good memories of staying at the hotel, although this could be mostly because of the horrible memories of being at the fairgrounds.    Let me get this straight: when people talk about a dive bar,  and you picture a motel that would fit…

fit that description perfectly, it's the Milner.  But it had that overall charm to it that people love about dives.  Cheap, dirty (OK, not too dirty...I'm not sure how many times they cleaned the room...
