WWOZ has the most diverse playlist of any station anywhere; and they serve as inspiration to other stations to strive for non-conformity.  When I was a little girl, my Dad's friend (a construction worker) had a radio show on WWOZ - back when it was on the 2nd floor of Tipitina's.  His show was all about 50s NO R&B; they're HS years.  The Duka Paduca was barely understandable to non-New Orleanians…
