The Gris is straight revolutionary war type ish.  According to someone I met here, Essex emerged unscathed from British attacks. The more you know...   Not a ton to say about it: what you see is what you get. Classic east coast comfort food is well executed and predictable. If you like boats, you're going to go for this place like Tom for Katie.
