I may be biased having grown up in Escanaba, but I believe Dobber's to be the very best pasty shop this side of the Atlantic.  They offer many varieties now, but the Original topped with Heinz ketchup is still the best.  An absolute must have if you are in Escanaba.  For the uninitiated, a pasty (pronounced past-ee) is savory mixture of ground beef, potatoes, onions, rutabegas, and carrots baked…
