Roseland still holds up, and owes a little of its popularity to boosters Jane and Michael Stern (of Gourmet and Roadfood fame), as well as Faith MIddleton.  The place is busy, so get there early.  They don't do lunch.  Very, very good pizza  that rivals (but certainly does not exceed) Frank Pepe or Sally's.  Pasta and entrees are also good.
